Marion Holbrook, PMP

Marion Holbrook, PMP, is a Leadership Strategist who works with executives and their leadership teams in leadership development, team building, communication skills, and coaching. She coaches key contributors to ensure success for themselves and their companies in today’s flat, downsized organizations. Throughout her career, she has been a change agent, influencing all levels of the organization to think in terms of vision, process, and continuous improvement. Marion conducts workshops and speaks at conferences on the difference that one individual can make in collaboration with a team.

Marion has 30 years of experience in coaching, training, and mentoring as a manager and project manager for high-tech companies, including Emerson Process Management, Dell Corporation, Bank of America, and Internet startup companies in Austin and the Silicon Valley. Her early experience as a computer programmer provided the foundation for her software career. She has led corporate-level projects and been responsible for stakeholders understanding and implementing change. Marion is certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute, is a graduate of Coach University,and has a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a BFA in Environmental Design from California College of the Arts.

With experience in senior positions at a wide range of companies, Marion coaches from "concept to concrete".from strategic planning though successful implementation. Because of her diverse background, she relates to a variety of personality types on corporate teams and coaches them from their own position. Marion’s clients benefit from her practical experience in integrating the goals of the individual, the team, and the organization for high-quality outcomes.

Marion coaches clients individually and in groups. Her approach helps clients see that coaching is about managing change.a critical life skill for attaining new direction in both personal and professional arenas. She asks her clients to "Make your life your #1 project."

She is a member of the International Coach Federation and serves on the board of the Greater Austin ICF chapter as Coordinator of the Outreach Program. Marion was Director of Partnerships for the Austin chapter of the Project Management Institute for 2002-2003. Her coaching skills are enhanced by professional training as a facilitator and mediator, and she is a volunteer mediator at the Austin Dispute Resolution Center.
