Katharine Halpin, CPA, MCC
Katharine
Halpin is the CEO and founding principal of Katharine Halpin &
Company, LLC, a global executive coaching and corporate
transformation company that is celebrating its 12th
anniversary. Katharine focuses her work exclusively on CEOs and
their Board and management team effectiveness. In 2003, Katharine
founded The Halpin Companies, Inc. to establish a network of Halpin
Leadership Strategists who use her strategic framework for creating
quantum-leap results with their own clients around the globe. She
has been profiled in The Phoenix Business Journal and
interviewed in numerous publications, including The Arizona
Republic, Arizona Business Gazette, and The Wall Street
Journal. Katharine, certified as a Master Certified Coach in
1998 by the International Coach Federation, is a pioneer in the
coaching industry. During the past ten years she has lead more than
200 workshops and seminars with a growing client base throughout the
United States. Katharine is inspiring leaders who influence and
shape our communities and economies.
Katharine, motivated
by profession and passion, is a
pioneer in the field of integrative thinking. After 20 years
as a practicing CPA in both industry and public accounting,
Katharine switched to the “softer side” of business where she gets
to see even greater impact on organizations by focusing on the
people and the processes an organization uses to get results. She
helps CEOs maximize the value of their intangible assets: their
people, the corporate culture, and continuous growth and
improvement.
Having an
educational background as a CPA keeps Katharine grounded on the
“bottom line” of an organization, while her training as a Master
Certified Coach gives her the skills to partner with CEOs to develop
their abilities to shift people’s attitudes in order to drive the
numbers. Her unique experience and broad perspectives have taught
her that sustainable change only occurs when everyone in an
organization shows up with energy and enthusiasm, and steps up with
ownership and initiative. Her clients report marked differences in
the level of clarity and focus within their organizations, as well
as the elimination of chaos and confusion.
Katharine coaches
clients individually and in groups. She also leads seminars and
conducts training in corporate environments related to leadership
development, team building, communication skills, and coaching. The
benefit KH&Co. clients realize from their work with Katharine is the
development of a workplace where everyone steps up and speaks up.
Katharine has been a guest lecturer at coaching schools, colleges
and universities worldwide such as Columbia University’s Teachers
College.
Since 1985, Katharine has served
continuously as a member of various not-for-profit and professional
association boards. A few examples include the International
Coach Federation, Arizona Society of CPAs and Arizona Business
Leadership, Inc. She is currently a member of the prestigious
Tocqueville Society of the Valley of the Sun United Way.
