Katharine Halpin, CPA, MCC
Katharine
Halpin is the CEO and founding principal of The Halpin Companies,
Inc., a global executive coaching and corporate transformation
company that is celebrating its 14th anniversary. She
focuses her work exclusively on CEOs and their Board and management
team effectiveness. In 2003, Katharine established a network of
Halpin Leadership Strategists who use her strategic framework for
creating quantum-leap results with their own clients around the
globe. She has been repeatedly profiled in and interviewed in
numerous publications, including The Arizona Republic, The
Phoenix Business Journal, the Arizona Business Gazette, and
The Wall Street Journal. Katharine, certified as a Master
Certified Coach in 1998 by the International Coach Federation, is a
pioneer in the coaching industry. During the past 14 years she has
led more than 275 workshops and seminars with a growing client base
throughout the United States and Europe. Katharine is inspiring
leaders who influence and shape our communities and economies.
Katharine, motivated by
profession and passion, is a pioneer in the field of integrative
thinking. After 20 years as a practicing CPA in both industry and
public accounting, Katharine switched to the “softer side” of
business where she gets to see even greater impact on organizations
by focusing on the people and the processes an organization uses to
get results. She helps CEOs maximize the value of their intangible
assets: their people, the corporate culture, and continuous growth
and improvement. She partners with CEOs to build strong connections
between the people, the processes and the purpose of the
organization.
Having an educational
background as a CPA keeps Katharine grounded in the “bottom line” of
an organization, while her training as a Master Certified Coach
gives her the skills to partner with CEOs to develop their abilities
to shift people’s attitudes in order to drive the numbers. Her
unique experience and broad perspectives have taught her that
sustainable change only occurs when everyone in an organization
shows up with energy and enthusiasm and steps up with ownership and
initiative. Her clients report marked improvements in the level of
clarity and focus within their organizations, as well as the
elimination of chaos and confusion. Katharine’s book, Step
Up or Step Out: Let Your People Decide™ will be published in
2010.
Katharine coaches clients
individually and in groups. Katharine has been speaking
professionally since 1991. She now presents keynotes, leads
seminars and conducts training in corporate environments related to
driving results by nurturing connections with your people. A primary
benefit The Halpin Companies’ clients realize from their work with
Katharine is the development of a workplace where everyone steps up
and speaks up. Katharine has been a guest lecturer at coaching
schools, colleges and universities worldwide including Coach U, the
first coach training school and Columbia University’s Teachers
College.
Since 1985,
Katharine has served continuously as a member of various
not-for-profit and professional association boards. A few examples
include the International Coach Federation, Arizona Society of
CPAs, and Arizona Business Leadership, Inc. She is currently a
member of the Tocqueville Society of the Valley of the Sun United
Way, Arizona Business Leadership, Inc., Arizona Society of CPAs, and
the American Institute of CPAs. |
