Jane Chambers
Jane Chambers is a Leadership Strategist who works with executives and their leadership teams in leadership development, team building, communication skills, and coaching. She has a special interest in emotional intelligence and is a trained facilitator for the EQ at Work workshop, which combines experiential learning with personalized practice to develop new skills and behaviors. She is the author of an electronic newsletter "Food For Thought," which features principles of coaching and paths to attain goals and overcome obstacles.
Jane has 18 years experience as part of the IBM management team. She has expertise in people management, team development, coaching, project management, facilitation, mentoring, leadership, and organizational development. Her clients range from executives of Fortune 500 companies to solo entrepreneurs. Throughout her career, Jane has also applied her managerial skills as a volunteer for many non-profit associations. She received her coach training at Coach University and at Corporate Coach University, Inc. Jane has a BA in Sociology from Washington and Jefferson College and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
With a diverse educational background in sociology and computer science, Jane has a coaching style that motivates and inspires people, and at the same time keeps them focused on their goals. She has a unique combination of “real world” experience and sensitivity that establishes immediate rapport with both corporate and individual clients. Jane’s clients say she has a gift to discover their inner values, strengths, interests, and beliefs, which contribute to an authentic, happy life.
Jane believes that “our possibilities are limited only by our vision of ourselves and our fears.” Her clients develop a clear vision of where they want to grow.as a business or as an individual.and a plan of action. To help sustain their motivation, she provides tools, structure, focus, support, and accountability to achieve their vision and more.
Jane is a member of the International Coach Federation and very active in the Greater Austin chapter of ICF. She serves on the Board of Directors for Girls Empowerment Network (GENaustin), whose mission is to help adolescent girls develop self-esteem and leadership skills by educating them, their parents and others who touch their lives. She is also a member of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce.
Jane’s background of corporate experience and knowledge of emotional intelligence gives her a unique perspective to help clients understand and overcome what’s really holding them back to achieve their full potential.
