Fee Policy
Because our relationships with
our clients are paramount to our success and because our client
engagements are most successful when there is a mutual understanding
of fees and the scope of each strategic leadership engagement, we
provide a written engagement letter to confirm everyone’s
understanding of our fees and the scope of each engagement in
advance. We also typically invoice in advance. This
provides two opportunities for clarification of both the scope and
the fee, prior to engaging us initially and for each calendar
quarter that we continue to work together.

The Halpin Companies, Inc. customize their engagement fees based on
the following factors:
- The client’s objective
- The client’s timeframe
- The client’s budget
- The scope of the
engagement, and
- The coach selected for the
project.
We always recommend that a
client start with a short, 90-day commitment in order to assess the
value they will gain from their work with us prior to making a large
time and budget commitment.
For organizations with revenues
in excess of $1 million but less than $250 million, a typical 90-day
engagement includes one-on-one executive coaching with the Chief
Executive and a brief data collection phase to include confidential
one-time meetings with key stakeholders. These engagements
generally range in fee from $3,000 to $15,000 for that initial
90-day period.
For organizations with revenues
in excess of $250 million but less than $1billion, a typical initial
engagement includes a one-on-one strategic leadership program for
the Chief Executive that focuses on both board and management
effectiveness and their own leadership development. This engagement
often includes a more detailed data collection phase with various
key stakeholders. An engagement with these two components requires
a fee of between $15,000 and $30,000 for that first calendar
quarter.
For organizations with revenues
in excess of $1 billion, a typical 90-day engagement includes an
initial “Discovery Dialogue” to assess the current situation which
focuses on gathering data and input from a variety of sources, as
well as one-on-one executive coaching for a variety of people
including the Chief Executive and their direct reports. These types
of initial engagements cost between $25,000 - $50,000 for that
short-term, 90 day program.
